I got an LG P300 from Jarir a couple of months back. An absolutely amazing little machine, wouldn't trade it for the Dell XPS I was also considering.

go for acer gemstone lineup. cant go wrong.

Remember dont forget the service after buying any electronic products. and as i feel computer arabia for Dell they are providing very good service.

Depends on budget...if u don't know what's good, buy what's more expensive...

I'm using an HP 24/7 for more than two years now(didn't have enough for a SONY at that time :D), and had never any problems...but, I have heard that people really had problems with overheating and display failure, and that the "customer support" isn't really HP's thing :)...

Toshiba is practical, but Mac is presitgious!!!!

Stay away from HP dv2000 series. It overheats. (Had to pay QAR 1,000 3 days after warranty expired to change the motherboard)

I'm a heavy duty user (I dont switch off my laptop)

Dell is good for that, my previous Dell was and still is amazing..

HP is good but dv2000 series overheats. Dont know about other models!!

Before you buy any laptop computer, think twice because laptop computers are designed for different needs. Yao can buy one which is best suited for office \ software \ data processing but not for playing games.
