Any HMC ex pats that can help me understand the work visa process for directors?

Hello
I visited with HMC in early January, and received a job offer which is being revised slightly.

HR asked for me to send them my documents, which I did electronically, as I did not want to send certified copies to a PO box.

How long does it take for HMC to get a work visa processed for a director's position? Any tips as to how to expedite the process?

Did you send your documents to HMC in hard copy via UPS or Fed Ex via fax or through e mail?
Any and all help appreciated.
