Thanks for your advices: First, I am a muslim revert long time before i meet this guy, second he is a God fearing man and a very responsible son, and a good friend too. I know that marriage is a lifetime commitment and I am ready for that. The only thing is that i am not so familiar with mixed culture marriages and I am afriad my marriage would fail just like others.

Salam Alaykom,

I do know some Jordanians and their wives are from Philippines. They are doing very well and living happily.

If both of you are Muslims and following the Islam directions, then different nationalities will have no real impacts. Understanding and adaptability will be required to ensure happily/non-disturbed life.

I can provide you with some contacts details of such examples here in Doha. Drop me an email with your contact and I’ll provide you with the said contacts if you are intersted.

Regards,

Bismillah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim. If you are a muslim you will find the answer in the sunnah. It is the best place to look for answers. Look at the lives of the wives of the prophets and also the hadiths on marriage and selecting suitable suitors. These are a more reliable guide than the risk of taking advice of people who have no responsibility to you. If you are still in doubt you are advised to seek assistance through the Ishtikara to gain guidance in times of indecision. For best advice look to the scholars, as even this is just the well-intended advice of a mere muslim sister. Salaam.

1. The important question: Do u convert coz of him or ...? U should ask urself. One converts coz they find the truth, not coz of loving someone. Otherwise, it won't last longer.

U should put Allah 1st above everything. I think inside of ur heart, u know it well.

2. I agreed with 'Lev' that u have to know him well due to different cultures. Love is not everything.

Married is not playing & it's a lifetime.

It's true that many people happily married even their cultures are different, but never compare urself with others. This is ur future and u r responsible of it.

Once decision is made, hope u won't regret it later.

3. My advise, just take ur time, oversee everything, think clear with your head and the most important: pray more.

God always gives u the best.

On the end, everything is in ur hand. God bless u & wish u all the best.
