Monday 28 Dec - Anyone free in the evening?

By Will28

Hi All!

I was wondering if anyone had any spare time on the evening of Monday 28th Dec, to quickly have coffee, a drink, dinner, etc?

I get in at Doha airport 7.20pm and my onward flight doesn't leave until 2 a.m., and would rather meetup with a local than spend the hours in a lifeless waiting lounge :-)

I realise Doha must get thousands of transitters like me, so hopefully someone will be available. It'll be my 5th time in Doha!

Cheers
Will.

THE MEETING PLACE HAS BEEN DECIDED....

Doha Rocks Caffe (thanks Rishimba), 8-8.30pm - Here is a map on how to get there: http://www.doharockscafe.com/en/location-map/

So far there's only 4 of us meeting up. I'll probably be wearing a black t-shirt and jeans. I hope more of you decide to turn up, maybe you'll even make a new friend!

Right, so myself and gypsy_coy are meeting up on Monday evening. Haven't decided on a venue yet, but if you'd like to come, send me or gypsy_coy an email and I'm sure we can sort something out. All is seriously welcome! :-)

I might not be as responsive over the next few days, as I'm flying out to Nepal tonight, but will hopefully have internet access once I get into Kathmandu. See you on the 28th when I fly back to London via Doha!

Merry Xmas,

Will.

Rishimba, sure, but is there a list of restaurants that we can choose from to let people know where to meet?

My flight gets in at 7.20pm so does sometime between 8-8.30pm sound good?

Hi Rishimba, I haven't been anywhere on Mattar Street...

Is there a place on there that would be easily accessible from the airport? (or at least I can give concise instructions to a taxi driver?)

Will, i can't think of a better plan than this...:)

infact there are many joints just on the other side of the mattar street just infront of the airport..

you can choose...cos you are the host !!

Rishimba! Mabuti po!

Sounds like a good plan to me :-) Can you PM me your email so I can make an attempt at coordinating this? (Unless you can think of a better plan)

Are there any places to eat at the Old Souk? Not really sure how practical that is, but it certainly looks picturesque on google images :-) I could use your help on deciding a venue to make it easier for everyone.

Anything/anywhere is fine by me. If you've ever been in transit inside Doha airport for more than 2 hours, you'll know that anything is a better alternative!

Cheers

Will.

Hey Guys,

I'm just an average guy, 28 years young, and from the Philippines (Pinoy).

Why don't we organise a QL group dinner or something on Monday 28th Dec? It would be seriously cool to meet any of you!

Cheers

Will.

I suppose that you must have your entry visa to go pass the immigration to meet your friends outside the terminal
