late instimara renewal wats penalty
So, i haven't renewed my car which was in the garage since march2010, and the istimara expired on may2010. I got the car back from the garage 2 weeks ago and i just renewed the Insurance today and just wanted to know if there is a penalty from police for late istimara and what or how much it is.

Thats one hell of a fine, i will have to go to the garage and get a receipt i guess. but are they very strict on this matter?
You can renew your istimara without penalty 1 month after it expires. If more than 1 month you can talk to the captain and explain your situation and he might remove the penalty. I did that when my car was brought to garage.
the fine IS QR1500, BUT there is a 2 month grace period

Bring along your garage's bill for evidence. They will waive the fine.

No need to pay penalty if you have a valid reason, I did not paid when I was on three month business trip.

You have a valid reason for not renewing it. If the car was in the garage you must have some report or receipt right? Just take it along with you in case they ask, which i doubt they will. Relax you got nothing to worry about.
