Education Certificate Required for Visa

Hi QL,

Can someone please confirm if the education certificate required is a Uni Degree? I had signed an offer for a large private sector firm earning excess of 30,000Q plus all the benefits like accommodation, car, education, furniture and so on.

The HR for the compnay who I had been dealing with advised my work visa was about to be approved but as I didnt have a Uni Degree it was unlikely I would be granted a Family Visa due to new changes. Is this correct? It seems strange that they will let you work without a Uni Degree but you need one to bring your family out. HR advised that I should still come out as they grant exemptions but this sounds to risky.

Can someone please shed some light on this?

Regards

My suggestion is, ask your employer to bring all of you together under their sponsorship and then transfer to yours. It is standard practice. Good luck and stay positive.

I value 10 years experience in Australia (or any other English speaking country) infinitely more valuable than a university degree of questionable quality.

I would say too risky as well. You really don't want to get here and discover that you cannot get a family visa without a university degree.

but for a working visa, you would need a POLICE CLEARANCE from your country of origi, certified true/original by your embassy here in Qatar and attested at the Ministry.
