New taxis to hit the road next month

The firm ‘Al Million’ which has won the bid to operate private taxis in the country will launch 300 vehicles next month in the first phase, says a report in the local Arabic daily Al-Sharq.
Unlike Karwa taxis these vehicles will be maroon on the top and will display the brand name Million prominently on both sides. All administrative matters including the central control room will be managed by the firm while the Qatar transport company Mowasalat will monitor its functioning to ensure its compliance with the set terms and conditions.
In the second phase the firm will launch 200 more vehicles as stipulated in the five-year contract signed with Mowasalat.

MIMH, yes I was in Picasso restaurant the other day and saw three Qataris in the traditional dress all sitting on different tables and downing the forbidden drinks. Must be hard for them that they can't even drink in a Pub in their own country!

All millionaires will work as Drivers or the passenger will become milliaonaire?

On serious note....Karwa sucks,

Qatar needs good quality public transport.

Qataris won't even use a taxi let alone drive one. Normally I wouldn't care but when I see them drinking in the hotels and then getting in their Land Cruisers they are a danger to everyone else.
