Dear Sir,

I have completed 5 years of service in a company. On receiving a good job in Bahrain, Resignation was given with 2 months notice period, On the resignation paper comment was written from my superior "Resignation not to approve unless accounting year is closed" Is it possible to go after 2 months or I should go to Labour office. Kindly give a positive reply and any suggestion

Just wondering how did you resign?

I mean just by a formal letter or through email? cuz wn you talk about going to MOL you must have all your proofs. The OP can deny that you he did not get the letter to so it is better to resign through email.

Well.. Normally for lower and middle level management notice period used to be 30 days. For top management it is from 2 months to few months.

So check your offer letter and go with it.

Talk to your Boss politely and tell him that this is what mentioned in your offer and I am sure he will accept it.

On the off chance if he wants you to stay then you can go to Ministry of labour and can cancel by yourself.

The reason given for holding you back is ridiculous. If he still insists take the help of the Labor Court. You will need to work fast as you will be taking a new job in Bahrain. He will definitely allow you to go but after delaying you so long that you will lose the other offer. In this way you will lose both jobs. In short, he is playing dirty.

After the notice period of 2 months, don't report to work. Your superior who had written the comment will be responsible for his actions. Don't be afraid. Know your rights.

What was your original contract with the company, if there is three month notice period mentioned?? if mentioned then try to wait for another month. Best of luck
