A beauty centre in Al-Markhiya has been closed down by the Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC) for displaying and selling expired hair products.

The closure will be effective for a month and was announced in the official Twitter platform of MEC as follows-

Also, the closure follows inspection campaigns to monitor the market and commercial activities, prevent price manipulation and expose violations pertaining to counterfeit goods and non-conformance with standard specifications.

Inspectors fined the centre and ordered it closed in line with Article 7 of Law No. 8 of 2008, which prohibits suppliers of goods from selling, displaying, offering or advertising corrupt or fraudulent products, reports The Peninsula.

Products are considered corrupt if they do not conform with standards specifications, are unusable or have expired.

The administrative closure is published on the ministry’s website and two newspapers at the centre’s expense in line with Article 3 of the law on consumer protection.

Go Natural ....... I think this message is working .......... Less customers lead to stock build up hence expiry .......... Inner beauty is important than the skin colouring ....
