What Books Inspired you most in life?
I was just thinking maybe we could start off with telling each other about what books and authors have inspired us most in life?
Its a really good to way to share book ideas i think!
Mine were:
Enid Blyton books when i was a child ( still collect them) the sense of adventure, mystery and all whats right with the world! they really taught me a lot when growing up and still do on how to try and be a good person!
The Tibetian Book of Living and Dying - this book really helped me through a difficult phase in my life - and has taught me so much about life, how to live my life correctly , inspired me to strive to be a better person- it introduced me into the whole world of buddhism
Anne Schnitzer ( one hundred and one days in Baghdad, Bookseller of kabul)those books are just amazing they really open your eyes and the lady who wrote them is just one of the most coragous people ever!
I have all these books floating about if anyone wants to borrow them!
I'd like to advise Lloyd Alexander to anyone coming by this topic. I read his books as a child and they are full of common wisdom. Rereading the chronicles of Prydain as an adult is as enjoyable as it was back in the days.
