4x4 with flat folding rear area
I am trying to decide between used Prados, Pajeros and Patrols (why do they all start with 'P'?). Does anyone know which of these 3 vehicle types has the best seat folding plan to provide a flat area in the back, that might in a pinch, provide a sleeping area on long trips (presuming 4 door version of course)?
Nissan is the best mitsu sucks
The best true offroading 4x4 car is the NISSAN SUPER SAFARI (offering as much capabilities as the landcruiser VXR V8 and if not superior)! In addition, maintenance is extremly easy and cheap, and it has excellent resale value. The only thing is that it is bit more expensive than the other cars (the top super safaris are around 160k) you mentionned. As for bed space, I am not sure about it, but from my friend's super safari, I noticed that it offers plenty of space when seats are folded. As for prados and pajeros, they are good car, however they lack the powerful engines for true offroading as well as the stiff suspensions...
Obviously it's not gonna feel like u are in a royal bed! But hey, if u know big bed space, then big a 5ppl tent and just set it up next to ur car and thats a great camping experience... Otherwise, if u want true bed experience in a car, then you only have to get a YUKON XL, SUBURBAN, or Infinity QX56! But those are not 4x4 offroad cars :) :) :) !!!!
I hope that was useful
Sorry missed out the Patrol, it is very good (not true) 4WD with little out of propostion engine, good space/AC but too high price and too much fuel consumper...it also does maintains a good re sale...
Pajero is by far the best on providing a neat space, and trule/REAL 4WD and good A/C but is expensive and expensive to maitain plus a limited re-sale value....
So if you need the best sleeping area, strong 4WD in action then PAJERO is the answer.
If you need Resale only and very good A/C and nothing much more ; Parado is the answer.
Pathfinder is really not at all between the two of the above...but it sells some how and maintains a respectable re sale...
All the best...........
boss do see a pajero if you need to sleep inside the car,and even mitsubishi outlander, they one of the best i have seen in folding seats and ample space,to cuddle upand have a nap.
I can tell you from first hand experience - the Patrol is crap for sleeping in! I'm 5'6" and can't lie stretched out and there is a recess where the rear seats lift up that your feet will fall down into. Pathfinder was better. Even the Suzuki Grand Vitara folded flatter!!
