I forgot to say I never service the car at the dealer, I take to Tayseer which I think is much better than the dealer, at least you see what is being done on your car.

It is a nice and worthful car can buy without any hesitation. Secondly Land Cruiser also the best it would reduce the noise compare with FJ if you think about noise reduction.

I had the 2008 model before, great off road vehicle. No Problem with the car. Only the big problem is after sales service of toyota. Prepare boxes of panadol for headaches during your services on toyota service center.

Ok, I have a 2008 FJ, it is a great car on the dunes, it really shines in off-roading. Very decent power, good acceleration and I find the seats comfortable and can acomodate tall drivers easily. My car has around 40000 km and it has been very reliable, no mechanical issues what so ever.

AS for the drawbacks, it is noisy basically wind noise but not as bad as jeeps or hummers, blind spots where you really have to use the door mirrors to operate safely and a small gas tank so refueling will be a frequent event.

Get the fully optioned model if it is within your budget.

If I had to do it again, I will still buy it and I enjoy it very much, and certainly much more than my wife's 2010 Prado which I think lacks the personality of the FJ.
