Honda remote key
Dears, I got used Honda Accord 2007 with a damaged remote key and no replacement, so I visited Honda in El Sena'eya to ask about the price for a new one, guess what? It is for 1680 QR just for one remote key. Also the regular service cost is too much regarding the car value and comparing with other cars makes in the same class.
So my questions here for Honda owners:
- From where I can get new remote key with a reasonable price?
- Where I can do the car regular maintenance with e better prices?
No, I'm not a sales man from Honda. I have 3 Honda cars and have been dealing with them for over 10 years in Doha!
Yes, I agree that spares may be cheaper at Peugot, but their inventory is very limited and chances are they will not have the part when required due to the very limited number of Peugot cars on the road.
Hey, I'm not trying to be smart here and I speak purely from my personal experience. Eventually it is up to you where you get your car maintenance done. You should have done the research before buying the Honda. There is no point buying the car and then cribbing about it now.

Not a bit extra, it's really costly for just an accord.
Besides I have to do that every 5000 KMs, for me I expect to make about 25,000 KMs a year which means I have to visit them 5 times annually, with a high chance to leave the car for days, this is really annoying.
In the same day I went to Peugeot with a friend of mine has 307, he does regular maintenance every 10,000 KMs, the service cost is about half the one in Honda which you have to made every 5000 KMs, and guess what, cheaper spare parts, cheaper accessories, much more luxury.
Just one problem with the European cars, the resale, and this is because the people still think the Japanese cars are the best in the market.
And please, don't talk like a sales man from Honda.
The Honda key is cut by a comoputer and cannot be duplicated. It is unique to your vehicle and must be ordered only from Honda.
As far as service goes, Honda has probably one of the best service centres in Doha with very good customer service. Yes, you are paying a bit extra, but then you get the satisfaction that your car is serviced well.
Honda give you a complete and detailed report of your vehicle condition after the service which I found non existant with any other third party maintenance provider.
Should any unscheduled maintenance required to be carried out on the car, Honda service will first call you to let you know the problem and how to solve it and what it will cost you.
Pay the extra, its worth every penny!
There are few shops in the Souq near sofitel that do keys are locks.. Not sure if they will be able to give you a remote key as that is for your mobiliser I guess and the alarm...Good Luck
