Oh my dear Friend you are on the right Track...X-Trail is owesome, I have used this car for the Last 4 Years and I can't complain at all, The car is user friendly, affordable Maintenance, Excellent in Performance, name them X-Trail will always do the best.
i've driven most of compact suvs already and the x trail is one i loved the most(maybe i'm too biased since i bought it?lol) most affordable, cheaper to maintain, real 4wd than crv and other competitors.sportage, tucson and xtrail almost have the same price so i bought it because it's nissan,(meaning japan). huge compartment at the back, nice legroom(unless you're really huge).
I have been using X-trail 4 years ago(bought it 2007,it was 2004 model). travel to Saudi,UAE also Musandam with it. It is a good suv for small family/single. Low maintenance cost. If you want to go to Inland Sea, do not hesitate.

I and my friend have been using xtrail since 3 years, we havent find any discomfort so far, it's a very friendly, easy to maintain wagon.
