it comes with 2 types : AWD , FWD , but the front wheel drive is not avaialible here i think , anyway , if u r looking for a car for an " off-road drive " dont ever think about the next " acadia, morano, honda pilot, intfiniti fx, ..." because it is front wheel drive basicly and have an additional all wheel drive , morever that they dont have what called : double defferential , which is th main system in the off-road drive, then u have to look for tahoe, yukon, pajero, armada . wich are rear wheel drive and have bouble deffrential
I think 4WD is better for Qatar as AWD is good in slippery roads. There are certain issues for AWD as only one set of wheels (usually the rear ones) are getting 5-10% of the engine power unless slippage occurs.
If you are planning to use it in Qatar my suggestion is to look for a 4WD (a full time 4WD)
Two different things, comparing apples to oranges. AWD is better for on the highway, like icy and snowy roads. This system transfers power to the wheel that is slipping. Not so good if you are off road and that wheel is off the ground, that is where 4WD is superior. So depends what you plan to do with the vehicle as to which is best. Both are good, but do different things.
