Procedure for used Car Purchase

Hi,

Can someone tell me, wht is the procedure and time frame to purchase a used car from a seller if i opt to pay him full cash without relying on a bank loan ?

Can it be transferred witihin a 4-5 working days.

in addition to the comment of mzakria, just be sure that your company is one of those listed exempted for the NOC. Otherwise you will have to bring an NOC from your company before you can transfer the car to your name. mostly these companies are Q companies(qp,qatargas,rasgas,etc...)

I just bought a 2nd hand car today, it took me 30 minutes at the muroor (traffic pilice office) to transfer the car to my name. Go to the typing office nearest to the muroor, give him the car registration card + Insurance paper + your Qatari ID card and the seller's ID Card. The guy will type the letter. Go inside the Muroor, take the queue coupon slip. Wait for your number to be displayed. Go to the counter, give the application form + your and seller ID + the insurance paper. DONE DONE DONE just 30 minutes. They will return your IDs and the insurance paper, that is they just want to look at the originals... and in 30 minutes you have the car registered in your name. You must pay the transfer fee of QAR 200 by your credit or Debit card.

Dear,

1st change insurance on your name. then take noc from your employer.

Go to police department with ID card, new insurance and one arabic transfer paaper with your seller. Within one day u can change ownership of car
