What do you think about the Jeep Compass?
Dears, I am looking for a 4x4 used car with a bit limited budget. Recently, I have found a good Jeep Compass with low mileage which will be suitable for me.
What do you think about the Jeep in general in Al-Doha regarding the maintainance and the the spare parts prices? I am asking that because I notice that Jeep is not that popular brand here and I want to know why.

The Commander is one ugly Jeep, just beaten in bad looks by the Wrangler 4 door!
Sorry my friend. Buy any Ammerican car and you shall have no resale, no luxury, no durbility, no nothing. I believe you are better off throwing your money in the gutter.

Actually, I do not intend to go off-road that much and I didnt find myself in the Land Cruiser or the in the Patrol. The luxuary, the comfort and the good on-road performance are my highest priorities in the mean time.
I also found 2005 Grand Cherokee with a 15,000 QR higher price, would it be better than the Compass for the resale value and the maintainance??
Try to get some reviews from different cars related websites and this will help you in making your decision, Jeeps Compass does not have a good resale value as well and a bit more in maintenance than land cruiser.
The Jeep is not popular becuase nothing can beat the land cruiser when it comes to off road performance. Besides, the Jeep is Ammerican, and thus is a masterpiece of poor craftsmanship and quality. My suggestion is to get an old land cruiser or a nissan petrol. Both are easy to maintain and you can find one at a very good price if you put the effort into finding the car.
