Hey guys,

Do you know where I can buy food in the day time during Ramadan?  A friend told me that he used to buy food from a woman who cooked part time from her house during ramadan but shes no longer available.  Does anyone know such a setup.  I'm now going to the Ramada or the Ritz for food in the day time and thats too expensive.  Please help me the country is dead in the day time and I need to eat.

PS: please dont bother telling me to cook cause that doesnt end well.

Buy some bread, tomatoes, cucumber, mayo and cold cuts from any of the supermarkets and make your own sandwich

or

you can buy some readymade food from Safari Supermarket any time.  (last week at 10am, I picked up some pretty good biryani from them)  FFC Rayyan and airport sells food after 1230

or

pick up some precooked food from the freezer section of FFC, Lulu and put it in the Micro

If you couldn't find an open restaurant anywhere, go to the nearest Lulu Hypermarket. They always have some hot food available, which you can take home and eat to your heart's content.
