Would that be Saturday, does anyone know? If so does it apply to ALL shops?

I think Eid begins tomorrow, Friday, doesn't it? So does that mean Saturday is classed as the first day due to Friday being, well, Friday!

I imagine places like LuLu and FFC and GIANT will all have more or less the same hours. I was more concerned that everywhere would be completely closed for a day, maybe 2. (I only have a very small freezer) :D

as per gulftimes Saturday will the the first day of EID, but still depends on MOON if it show up today....following is the news from gulf times in 9/10/07 addition.

Eid al-Fitr on Oct 13

“Eid al-Fitr will be on Saturday October 13 since the end of the month of Ramadan and the beginning of the month of Shawwal will be around 8.10am on Thursday October 11 but the moon will not set prior to the setting of the sun on the same day. Consequently Ramadan this year will have the full run of 30 days and Eid will be celebrated on Saturday October 13” said Sheikh Salman bin Jabor al-Thani, head of the astronomy section in the Qatar scientific club in a statement published in the local Arabic dailies.

people still look for the MOON tonight.

HAPPY EID TO ALL.

Eid al-Fitr might be on Saturday or Friday.

Tonight we, insha Allah, know.

Religiously speaking as I know Eid al-Fitr is one day.

However, people celebrate it for 4 days.
