Lulu hyper priced Market..

Elegance
By Elegance

I bought a round brush for 6 QARs last week. I wanted to buy two, but thought after trying one, would go back and buy one more.
Yesterday I went back and found exactly the same brush priced double straight away to 12 QARs.
Why does this happen?..Am I am encouraged to hoard stuff I need, in case the price become double, next week.. :-(

Stealth, but I DO use every single item!

See, the thing is, shops seem to run out of stock rather frequently, and it takes them a long time to replace that stock...for various reasons.

So, I have the things I most frequently use "in stock" myself!

buy them, dont use them for 5 years and then throw them out for wasting valuable space. Who gains in the end? The manufacturer and the seller.

Fathimah, same here! I have a whole storage cabinet full of my fave items!

and yes I have developed a habbit of hording stuff I like now. Never know when they'll either go MIA or the prices shoot up!

to which nationality Lulu is famous for and connecting it to the comment of the GOOD guy, you'll understand it.

Anyway, what do you expect from this guy? The thread is about pricing and he'll start talking about smell?

By anonymous• 14 Apr 2012 23:18

It's flor's known way to stir up dirt on any thread.

Here is a summary about Flor's replies:

"If you don't like it here, leave"

"If you don't agree with me, you are racist"

"I like men"

By Missteacher• 14 Apr 2012 23:13

Where did nationality come in??

By anonymous• 14 Apr 2012 23:09

Yeah I am referring to certain people who shower less often than fruits do..

Those who would rather Not miss one thread on QL than take a shower.. ooops.. did I insult you Flor? I didn't mean to.. I am sorry

By anonymous• 14 Apr 2012 22:44

it is just because LULU make it half pay back permotion todays so they make some items prices double so you are purchaing that will get back half but orignally paying the exect price of the product with their profit.its a markeeting techonology.

2 round brushes are never essential in a household.

Are you not causing traffic rush near markets just to do a research on round brushes ?

Carrefour is expensive, and the quality of fruits and vegetables is poor. In Lulu, there is a biggest variety of items,, The best way would be to compare each prices of items we are buying,, some might be cheaper here and more expensive there and vice versa.

are u sure that it is the same, or maybe the price tag was for some other product.

anyway generally we have an impression that lulu price is the cheapest among all hypermarkets in doha, but it is not true, i tried to trace the price of some products including vegetables and fruits and found that lulu is not the cheapest
