Now that Ramadan is about over, when exactly do the hotels begin to serve alcohol?

I heard it was tommorow subject to the moon gazing experts confirming they have seen a moon tonight ??????

We put a man on the moon in the west but in this part of the world predicting the sight of the moon is a lot more difficult apparently ? Confused ? me and every other expat is for sure.

The expats can once again look forward to socialising and mixing together over a beer in the best traditions.

I was informed it will be tommorow subject to the Eid notification.

It is a contant mystery to me and most euro expats that in the West we can put a man on the moon within 1m of a designated position but in the middle east they cannot predict the sighting of the moon ? Is it concerns over a cloudy sky ?dusty sky ? or just the fact that being able to plan is not the done thing here hence why every project is,overtime and overbudget ? or that as for most things in this region they cannot all agree ?

Sometimes the truth can hurt but it remains

the truth

Yes, Ramadan is almost over. That is a fact one can learn from their calendar (assuming one is literate); it is not a value judgment that somehow involves my skin color (which is not white incidentally). My condolences to those who apparently wish it was longer. Not to worry, it'll return next year.

But thanks to those concerned about my health! Fortunately, studies show that a glass of wine a day keeps the cancer away. Blame science, not me, for that.

Now that the children have had their say, could I please get an adult's response? (To the children, I only say that I am asking about something which is perfectly LEGAL in Qatar. I therefore suggest that it is the children who should leave the country.)
