If you love something, set it free. If it comes back to you, it will always be yours. If it doesn't come back, it was never yours to begin with.
Have a bit of humanity Alicia!
I have a bridge I would like to sell you.
It is in Brooklyn and I will mail it to Doha for a very small handling fee.
Be the first in your compounds to have an authentic New York Bridge.
The only bridge most of you have seen is your grandma's false teeth....
I completely agree with you. That is why I've never had an african grey. They are amazing birds, and should be free. Sadly people like the one selling above don't care about animals, they just see them as a quick profit (as Poppy noted). Sad reality, is that if people continue to buy these animals, more people (like the one above) will take advantage and breed them. Hand reared greys lack the necessary survival skills to live in the wild unless the are re-habilitated, and therefore will suffer on there own as they don't know the inherent dangers that they would normally learn from their parents.
That is why I do not condone selling animals....full stop!
Alicia, go elsewhere. You should think before breeding animals. Don't you care at all about these birds that you have helped to bring into this world? Why are you just interested in making quick money? With all the homeless animals that need homes, you just add to the problem.

Birds belong in the sky....not in tiny cages.
They travel all over the earth ...yet they only get to see your house.
I m all for birds as pets only if you can release it into the sky & if it returns to you....then you can have it.
Shame..... even if you were remotely tempted (at these extortionate prices) this is a no go!!!
Qatar has a ban on importing birds into the country.
I used to have a pet rat!
Now if I had a pet rat here that could be quite handy -an essential for every girl in Qatar:- for when someone is getting a little too close. Especially if I could train it to act dead.. and then pull it out of my handbag...
Great Idea DaRuDe - !
Parrots, such as the African Grey need owners experienced in handling parrots. They are highly intelligent and highly social creatures. They cannot be left alone all day and will get VERY attached to their owner when given the proper care. So much so, that if the owner goes away on holiday, they'll come back to a bird that's pulled out all it's feathers in distress.
Grey's make wonderful pets when they are hand reared and well taken care of. But I would never recommend buying a grey if you do not have time to take care of a pet (say a dog, for example) as they require a great deal of time and training..........and alot of love, to be a happy social bird, rather than a destructive one.
