You can find books (in English) in Virgin (Villagio / Landmark) and also in Al Jarir Bookstores.

But it you want cheap ones, have a look at QL classifieds sometimes you can find books for sell.

Also try to search for book groups, a good solution to meet people and exchange books as well.
