How did a simple food enquiry turn so bad?It is quite chilly so we can't blame it on the heat no more. Cool down folks!

Good and beneficial answers from Tinker,Fathimakhan, and Rizk.

Personally I do like an occasional and I mean once in a blue moon junk food binge..Hardees grilled chicken burger and KFC Panini being my favs of the two mentioned brands though Pizza from Papa John's rules the junk food kingdom of Doha IMO!

I think quite a few people in Doha can be sent back to their home coutries who obviously have been wrongly hired and seeing their comments they are definitely not doing any good to Qatar....they seriously lack comprehension.

really and you believe that?

Maybe you should be the one asking my fellow countrymen.

Azucena is a way cooking the dog meat with gata or tomato sauce/paste or what we call "CALDERETA" google it again, and there is no other way they will cook it. boiled - nope, paksiw -nope, adobo - nope, sigsig - nope, inihaw - nope. etc.

Calderetang Aso = Azucena. There is no dish called "Asocena"

The point is Doha-Chap2022, why do you have to care to what someone's eating, either fastfoods or junk foods? Why do you have to point out that my countrymen eat dog meat? Does it bother or affect you? Again, it is none of your business. If you can't give nice answer to OP's query, you better shut your mouth!

The local name for the said dish is Azucena, and there is no International name for such a dish.

Doha-Chap, I want to learn more with your post, as you mentioned "Ask your fellow countrymen, they 'I’ll tell u." Maybe i'm not aware that something new came-up.

check your facts next time:

Asocena is a dish primarily consisting of dog meat originating from the Philippines

The dish's name is a compound word, from aso, the Filipino word for "dog" and Spanish word cena, which means "dinner" or "an evening meal",

The term you quoted is a play on the Spanish name Azucena, which is also used to describe a variety of fragrant, white rice.

Sometimes it’s better to remain silent and be thought of a fool, than speak out and remove all doubt.

yes it rings a bell...

But what is the connection between azucena (as the right spelling) and fast food chain? Can you be more specific?

Btw, all the fast food chains in the phils do not serve/sell dog meat nor cat meat. Fyi.
