Why the cafeteria on the Cornish is closed?

I used to love this cafeteria (the one that is beside the Sheraton park on the Cornish) especially when jogging on the Cornish you need to buy a soft drink or water.

Since like 2 months now it is closed
Does anyone know why?
any idea when it will be opened again if it will?

I used to take my kid there on the week ends and now I'm stuck with the one in al bida park and playground and both of them stink. It is not Baladiya as they would leave a paper there and not also a renovation as there is no construction work is taking place there also.

Really it is strange.

Rumours are that although the Emporium will charge premium prices, it will offer free belly dancing shows. I believe Rizks is already eyeing up suitable candidates ..

@ Wenny & MN, it is not Baladiya ... if they do it, they put the sticker on the front gate of the facility. There is no sticker there.

apart from sticker, they do it for 1 month. This cafeteria is not closed for more than 2 months.

@mtv, I liked their pop corns and passion fruit smoothy ... and I miss them now when we go there.

@khannan, I hope this rumor is not true... but probably it is ....

good.

and I didn't find the place dirty. It was well kept.

News are that high end cafteria is coming up at same location and will charge 5-8 times more for cup of karak.

The place stinks, I’m glad Baladiya closed it down

it can be a renovation, bankrupt, and the most popular here in Qatar is Baladiya, maybe they violated the rules

I have not been to corniche for couple of months so I have no idea about the closure of the cafeteria. Maybe for renovation? Otherwise, they should not close and instead put up additional cafeterias since for the past 10 years or so, this is the only cafeteria serving people that have increased for the past years.
