Cedars Qatar - Tutoring Center

I moved to Doha a few months ago from the States and my child has been added to the waiting list for ASD. I am hoping that a place opens up soon at ASD.

As an interim measure, while we are waiting, I have have been advised to enroll her in another school or tutoring center such as "Cedars". (http://www.cedarsqatar.com). I was wondering if anyone has any knowledge/experience of this center with their children etc. so that I can make an informed decision.

Advice appreciated.Thanks.

Think shazzyann is being a bit unfair. We had a child in Cedars for a couple of terms while we were on a waiting list for another school. The schooling situation here is pretty bad, not enough places to go around. Cedars were a godsend at the time.

Agree they are pretty expensive but there are only about 10 kids in a class so guess their fees have to be quite high.

Hats off to them I say. A lot of kids would be sitting at home without an education if they didn't exist.

Hi. I would seriously advise against it. We had our child there and although the teachers are great, they are very restricted and the kids don't learn alot. The management of the school are more interested in the money than the interest of the children. They also have a lot of special needs children but not the resorces to deal with them at the detriment of the other kids.

This school charges alot for not alot and sometimes nothing at all, really try and find an alternative first !!!

Hello,

We had the same problem, took us 3 months to get our children in school.

Do Ceadears if you have too, we did.

But a word of caution, they stoped teaching for a week and had the children working exclusivly on the xmas play.

and the end of this week they are all going on a class trip to Villagio shopping.

At the price they chargee and the little work they did for it we are lividly uprset with them.

Regards,

David
