How do you register a vehicle and also get vehicle insurance?

I was wondering how one gets vehicle insurance and also registration when buying a second hand vehicle?

My understanding is that if the number plate is being sold with the vehicle, the registration can be transferred on Metrash2. If the person keeps the special plates, how would you transfer registration?

How can I get insurance as well?

I do not have information on this situation when the seller is keeping the number plate but I believe you can get this info by visiting any Traffic Police office in Doha. Getting an insurance cover is very easy. There are so many companies in the field that do car insurance. Some of them have offices at places known as "Fahas" Others have offices in the city.
