3 Golden Rules for Driving

3 Golden Rules for Driving

Life Rockz
By Life Rockz

Hi all,

I have been driving from last 6 years. With lots of new drivers on road, I feel, I should tell them to just follow these rules for safe driving. Obviously, since you have got a license, means you know how to drive..... so these rules are only for a better driving.

#1 : Look at the rear/ side mirror before taking any decision.

Decisions like changing lanes, slowing down, intention to stop / break, overtaking, it is always a necessary to look into the mirrors no matter how expert you are as a driver or that if you feel there is no1 behind you!!!

#2 : Use your indicator.

No matter there is no vehicle behind you, try to develop the habit of using indicators when taking turns or changing lanes. sometimes it so happens that we feel there is no vehicle behind and all of a sudden they appear from no-where!!! also, wait for few seconds after putting the indicator before changing the lane... The vehicle behind always gets the preferance and not you. so be patient till u get the clearance.

# 3 Expect the Unexpected :

Like some1 said, "The streets are full of Idiots". So no matter how good you drive, there is always a chance of someone breaking the rules and create an accident.... like changing the lane all of a sudden etc. Try to read the mind of the drivers in and around you. For example, if there is a vehicle moving on the next lane and his front vehicle slows down, there is a posibility of him coming to your lane all of a sudden. so its better for you to be careful and maintain distance.

Some people say, never give away your rights. (specially in pocket intersections) I disagree with them. Coz this is one of the main reason for accidents. Ok, u might say that is was not your fault, but is it worth to waste your time behind going all those after accident formalities??? so y not even have an accident in the 1st place!!!

These are my personal views and I have typed myself just for you'll.... Hope some of you'll will like it and use it while you drive....

Have a safe Drive.

how can u compare the USA to Q,,,,we talking demographics.. geographic s and ratios and amounts...u must compare apples with apples no bananas with apples...come on now...

Once again america is the baddy....u so rite they r the larger pop, and yes u rite they make the most accidents and no u wrong,,,,they r the worse drivers....

Like i say once again my opinion

Do you know the number of fatalities in the USA ? 25000 a year ! Supposedly a nation of people who "drive much better and have more sense and respect for others on the roads"

Do you know the nation with the highest number of accidents due to mobile phone usage during driving ? No ? USA again.

The truth about Qatar is that if you are seeing more persons of certain origin involved in accidents, it is simply because they form the highest proportion of the population and it is simply the law of averages at work. Tell me, how many Icelanders do you see involved in accidents in Qatar ?

I rest my case.

Zombie I tend to differ with ur last, ppl who come from countries where rules r enforced more and policed on a regular bases tend to drive much better and have more sense and respect for others on the roads but, drivers who come from certain parts of the world where it is fight for survival and no road patrols after certain hrs of the day well, they just have no clue and don't give a rats ass...

Bad drivers are just that ! no matter which country they come from or how educated or sophisticated they lack judgement or have poor reflexes. And more often than not, others pay the price.

Where might is considered right, safe and defensive driving is the only way to go.

I would say and this is just my opinion to u haters hahahahaha....the bulk of the drivers tht drive these huge vehicles r ppl who r employed as drivers, u seem to wanting to blame the 140km drivers and we know who those r, look at ur own kind tht have no regard for the rules of the road no sense of anything tht happens around them especially when they F......k up, the fact tht they can sit with this blank expression on the face look straight ahead nd not twitch or even say sorry for wht they have done or caused. Nd I am sure if u do some research 60% of accidents tht take place in qatar are caused by tht nation....

And all they do is bobble the head and twist the hand and say oooo sorry I didn't know I didn't know....

Ciao

well spyboat..... no where did i mention that i am expert in driving.... its just some tips i follow nd felt like sharing... i am glad that some of you'll liked it nd will use it while driving..... its ok if u dont like it or u knew it before itself..... what matters is u drive safely mate....

nd like Just1s and zombie said, beware of SUVs like LC COMING IN 140 KM in a speed of 80 / 100.... my suggestion is not to have ego with them.... just give them the way..... no matter who's mistake it would be, if they hit any vehicle, then tat vehicle would b screwed!!! so why take chances..... being passive sometimes helps.....

********TFS********

Yes its right.

Always beware of big cars LC's etc ..., they always think that they own every roads and streets around. they dont really know the use of signal indicator, and anytime they can drive fast and slow at the middle of the road as they want; specially when clicking their blackberry phones/attending their phones etc.

Have a safe daily trip everyone!

First, the kind who are doing 140 km on a 80 km road, come up just behind you and flash their lights. These guys just keep going in the fast lane no matter what.

Second are the kind who keep darting between vehicles, looking for gaps and crossing lanes wily nily

And finally the kind who sound their horn the moment the light turns green, no matter even if you delay for one second.

Everybody always seem to be in a hurry though most of them probably dont have anything to do.

Have a calm and composed attitude whenever you drive... don't play games or have the feeling to take revenge or out-do the other guy.
