Advice required regarding on unfair and dangerous working environment
There is a man who works in a Fuel company inside the airport, he regularly does 16 hour or more shifts with aviation fuel and driving the large fuel tankers, he is forced to do overtime, works everyday with no days off, the workers are so tired they are making mistakes which surely breaks health and safety laws within the airport as well as for the company he works for.
His employers tell him, if he doesn't like it leave! And also that he should tell his wife she won't see him for a month and accept it, this was communicated by a man who is a national of qatar and works 3 hours a day.....
My question - Can the labor department investigate this if reported anonymously? as all the workers are scared to lose their jobs and it seems all their health is affected by the unreasonable working hours and treatment so any advice would be appreciated not only for my husband but also for the other suffering workers.
Recently one of the workers who was on a 16 hour shift drove accidentally into the engine of a stationery plane.......do these people not learn anything in terms of health and safety, how many people could potentially die from their negligence?
