ANYONE? PLEASE - TULONG

Does anybody knows someone who got helped by the NHRC or Labour? And how long did they waited to have an appropriate action from the NHRC or Labor.

We wanted to go to the labour or NHRC to file a complain to our company , but then we are afraid that maybe we will just go there for nothing.

Our company violated lot of rules from the labour law. But my colleagues are afraid on the things that they might do.

- They are also requiring us to work on Fridays for 2 hours without pay and we are also paying for our transportation to come to the office.

- During Ramadan, we are also working on the same timing without overtime pay. They are just closing the gates so that others would not notice that we are still working inside.

- They are only giving us a 1 day leave during Eid Il Fitri and Eid Al Adha. But we are considering it not, because they are requiring us to go to the office on Friday 27th November. (I have the letter coming from our manager). I know that in the law it should be 3 days at least.

- Last year Independence Day, they required us to work. I know this coming Independence Day they will require it too.

- They are not providing us also the copy of our contract wherein the labor law a copy of contract must be given to the employee, employer and at the Ministry of Labor. They are only giving us a copy of Job offer.

- There is also a case here that in the Job Offer they should book Qatar Airways when we returning back to our country but they book other Airlines.

- They are deducting 2-3 days salary of the employees sometimes more than that for such a small matter. (Like not answering the phone immediately etc. ) Do you think it is advisable?

As an additional to our above situation was they cut our salary effective last 01st November onwards. They had sent an Internal Memo noting our revised salary signed by our by them. They cut our salary from QAR 200- QAR 1000 and it is also written in the memo that it is compulsory for us to go to work on Fridays for 2 hours. Is it valid to cut our salary without informing us and any explanation? Kindly note that we only have low salary. They just informed us on the same day that they gave the memo because they know that we cannot do anything with that.

Thank you so much in advance for your comments

Go to NHRC, at the right of Salwa Flyover from Ramada signal, they will ask you to write the details and give a copy of your qatar ID, then let you talk to a lawyer, explain everything and file a complaint with the company. He will then explain to you what are the grounds to be filed to the company and the procedures to be done. If you are amenable, they will then investigate the company and give you a feedback.
