Car paint restoration advice

Dear All,

I recently went for the umrah trip. As I crossed the border to Saudia, I asked the guy on first petrol station (within 2 KM after border crossing) to put fairy protection (dish washed liquid) on the car. This method has proven effective for me during last umrah trips. However once I joined Dammam-Riyadh highway, the storm was fierceful. I stopped for a while at a petrol station and also sprayed the protection paint in front. Which I later noticed did not stick well on top of dishwasher liquid. Nevertheless, I reached Makkah and the hotel I stayed in gave the complete car wash and re-sprayed the car. In madinah i double-coated the spray as I was afraid of similar storm on way back. On way back, weather was perfect though. Arrived back and took car straight away to teyseer for jack wash and I noticed that front paint is not shinning any more. Its sand treated and has lost its metallc shinning looks in some patches. I tried turtle waxing in home but it does not restore it well.

Any good advice on this situation. Similar experiences to share?

Regards,

Thanks Mughalzada for the comments.

I did not drive at more than 60 KM/Hr speed as the visibility was poor. Nevertheless, I hope the faded looks go away in few car washings.

Always apply spray ist and then dish washer. It will stick well and protect well too. Only applying dish washer is not recommended because its a strong soap solution can destroy your paint. Also if someone like to have his car well enough during sand storm then don`t exceed 80 km/hr or stop somewhere. Normally these patches appears at a part of vehicle where its already repainted sometimes otherwise after two three wash it should go.
