You can go and report in capital police station by giving the car number and mentioning the guy was drunk.

The police will take the guy to public prosecution and he will get bail by paying some fine. He can exit the country also if he have bail from prosecution. Its upto him.

In few days the public prosecution will forward the case to al saad criminal court and he will get one month jail and 40 beat for muslim , one month jail only for non muslim.

If you need money for damages then you have to charge civil case against him seperate in civil court dafna. Registration fee 3000 riyals court fee. The judge will decide for repayment

Ankur, Since you are involved in the drink and drive offence and if there is a court case, your ID will be automatically blocked and you may not be able to leave the country till the final courts verdict. Best of luck

Since, you were not the one who was drunk as you state when the accident took place, it will be only the court that could decide the penalties/punishments. If you are required to pay a penalty, this may be taken care of by your insurance company. It may take up to a year before your case could get settled.

There is no one answer to your question . It depends on who the person is, nationality etc

Leaving Qatar prior to the court case is Is not advisable
