False job offer from Qatar airways
I was offered a job at Qatar airways immigration department back in March 2011 and I am still waiting to this very day. I am a British citizen who is a fresh graduate from London University and currently still in Qatar with only a tourist visa meaning I have to leave and come back in order to re-new my visa. I constantly call and visit the Manager of Qatar airways to see what the hold up is and everytime he gives me different excuses. In the meantime I have been offered other types of jobs however my visa status is holding me back. Any advice on what I should do? Would love to hear from you guys....

very bad idea to come here on a tourist visa to get a job. difficult to transfer a tourist visa to a work visa - authorities dislike this a lot!
you are better to leave qatar and apply whilst out of country so things are 'above board'
ALso, final note, I am very surprised that you got a job offer, they do not normally hire expat grads with no experience (which I assume applies to you) because they have a lot of their own graduates who have the same education and experience as you and they will always be given preference.
Was that offer verbal, or was it in the form of an "Offer of Employment" letter?How can you say it's false? Maybe they have already filled in that position with an Asian, who could be more qualified (even if it is in terms of experience) and on a lower salary :-(And lastly, wtf are you waiting for so long? Take up the other offers... OR maybe you want the free/ discounted tickets?

How do you know the offer is false? And if you are convinced the offer is fake, why on Earth are you still waiting for something to happen?I would suggest that if you are getting other offers, take them!
It's been 7 months, not 4... I also don't understand what r u waiting for? And what is your visa status that is holding you back? I am sure you are here on visa upon arrival. Accept another offer, let them issue a work visa for you and switch the status from visa upon arrival to work visa. Not a rocket science...
just forget about QAW and go for other jobs if good salaries are offered it's been 4 months man..what are u still waiting for? Just end it with them and meet the manager and tell him truth straight away !!
