Thank you all for a very interesting first day here at QL, cant believe the time has passed so quickly.

Just a quick question, I know it is not the done thing to show your shoulders, does this mean the tops of your arms also??

We are off out tonight, wanted to wear a top I love but although it isn't low cut or anything it is sleevless,

Help please!!!

Thank you for the help, I did wear a pashmina over the top, when we got to the restaurant I was ok to remove it.

Think though, I will stick to covering up as normal, just annoys me a little that the shops sell some lovely things, but they are not suitable for here.

Cheers all of you xxx

If you spend all your time judging people, you will have no time to love them.

I've seen comments on QL and other sites that state you can wear whatever you like.

I disagree!

True, you're not going to be arrested or prodded with a stick, but I feel you still need to keep the local sensivities in mind.

Here's a recent thread on this topic:

Hope it helps!

wear what ever u want as long as ur going to a place, but if ur planning to take a walk at doha streets, just show head and hands (don't recommend a walk alone)

(although I think people should have more respect for the culture we live in)

It depends a lot on where you are going.    If it's somewhere  like a mosque visit (HA)  then definitely not,   if it's a bar, then it's fine.

----where are you going?   Then we can assist you better.
