Furnished Unfurnished

Hi

I am new in doha (2months ago arrived in doha) I am confused whether to take furnished or unfurnished accommodation. I understand there is less hassle and commitment in furnished. But how much difference in money can be saved if taking unfurnished as compared to Furnishe. Also where to buy used items? Thanks

Thanks everyone for your input. Probably sensible will be to take unfurnished and buy new fridge and new washing machine but second hand furniture. The reason I say is there is risk of breakdown with electronics item. Any thoughts?

Better go for unfurnished, you have the choice to select the best ones as per your budget wise. It works out cheaper in all respects including house rent.

Think once more. As I understand there are risks in taking furnished accomodation. It has to be clarified as to who will take care of repair in case of any failure. For items such as sofa/table etc, there is a possibility of getting cheated.

In my opinion, you can purchase all the items at a less cost, when you compare the furnished and unfurnished accomodation.

You can start with the minimum items and then go on additing items.

all the best

Hi kanchan,

When your going to unfurnished you can save money...but the think more than initial investment maintance and service is the big headache...If your going furnish with new things it will be ok....
