I got job in qutar in a oil servicing company, and company offer me work visa. I have a problem that i am HCV patient, is there any chance of medical relexation?
i am from philippines. i am wanting to go to dubai or qatar. i have relatives in qatar and they can help me find a job through sponsorship. the problem is i do have hepatitis b. i wanted to pursue a career abroad and i am researching and searching for right answers and right persons knowledgable to talk to but none of them replied. my work is not related in medical or restaurants, im in the office filed, sales and marketing to be exact. i do not have the courage to apply in the philippines via recruitment agency, although i have some interview calls but wasnt that eager enough since i lose hope when medical is the issue.
how can i get residence visa if before i get a residence ID i have to undergo medical and as what i am hearing of, this case will be deported. what are the chances of me not getting deported once im there? but not all cases of hep b. especially in the nature of job.
i hope you could give me a vital answer. im thinking of not wasting time and money processing my papers but will be deported soon. i pray that somebody is there to help me
but in some articles i have read only those medical related jobs, restaurants are deported. but i wana make sure on this.
if you can email me, or have answers on this, pls i need it badly, im getting more frustrated, i am carrying this disease and still not fortunate enough to bulid a living abroad. my email : blurryblurr(at)yahoo.com
I'm a specialist in Virology in Qatar, just a couple of questions:
What genotype is ur HCV?
What's ur Nationality?
Does ur job description include any food or health related tasks?
You will be screened for HCV upon entry, but if you have no direct risk during ur job then you will get the RP, and the treatment here is for free with premium health support, if you do make it here contact me ill refer u to a consultant that will assess ur case.
Anyways as u might already know the chances for cure wz HCV is getting higher so stay optimistic :-)
waht's the difference between hepatitis B and hepatitis C? I have read in other postings that some of the people here having hepatitis B are allowed to work, while those who are suffering from hepatitis C, cannot even get visa to work??? How about hepatitis A??? Thx in advance...
Hepatitis C is a blood-borne infectious disease that is caused by Hepatitis C virus (HCV), infecting the liver.[1] The infection can cause liver inflammation (hepatitis) that is often asymptomatic, but ensuing chronic hepatitis can result later in cirrhosis (fibrotic scarring of the liver) and liver cancer.
The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact. No vaccine against hepatitis C is available. The symptoms of infection can be medically managed, and a proportion of patients can be cleared of the virus by a long course of anti-viral medicines. Although early medical intervention is helpful, people with HCV infection often experience mild symptoms, and consequently do not seek treatment.[1] An estimated 150-200 million people worldwide are infected with hepatitis C.

take care.
Hep C has no cure, although no there are meds that can keep the levels so low they are undetectable even though you are still infected.
You could get in serious trouble if you came here knowing you have Hep C when it is against the rules to come to Qatar when infected.
THere is no vaccine for Hep C, although there is for Hep A&B.

incase of HCV u will be rejected by medical commision.
but i advice you to go to doctor in ur own country and tell him whole story.i m sure in few weeks ur HCV become negative as it is cureable.
i personally know some mans whose tests of HCV in a month negative but has to continue medication for six months

I don't like your chances man, but tell your employer as they may give you a better guide. They're very strict on what you've got, or had previously.
