This is not the first time crashed in share markets in India. Definetely it will come up. I am worried about the banks because all the NRI investments and deposits in banks only. I knew lots of friend they did not invest in any property because lack of maintenance of the property.

So they keep in banks as deposits their 4 to 5 years earnings. Some of my friends are deposits in NRO accounts recently because they get good interest rates in NRO deposits.

If any body know about these deposits any other details please share.

Can I ask one question? If we deposit in NRO as NRI's we have to pay tax. Please write more details please (if any one knows about bank details)

I afraid the important banks of India such as ICICI Bank and SBI are also will affect like american banks and Europe and Iceland banks.

Because they already cut the interest rates in India.

I dont know my fear is right or wrong.

Things are pretty bad in India, the stock market has crashed miserably, lots of people have lost jobs in the IT sector. All industries related to the US economy in India are going to be or already are badly hit.

we all do that..and its human nature...but if we all are responsible for what happens in this world, the ripple effect might not be as bad or have as bad a reaction to all other countries.

As far as the land investment...at least my family will always have a place to live...and yes, in that I was being selfish myself.

I hope that what is happening with America doesn't have an enormous effect on others...but if it does, may it be short lived.

our country, we sold our house and invested in land...was watching the economy dive as we left for Qatar...but at least we own the home and land, which won't lose their value.

But to be honest, nathan...only caring about your own country is really not the way to go since what happens all over the world, affect everyone, not just your corner of it.

have pegged their money to the dollar...like Qatar..where we live. I just hope for the rest of the world, that you are right...but I don't think so...

Scarlett...may be there will be some changes...but will not be much like other places as all the national banks are under Central bank..just a little worry about the share markets..

but I fear like anything else dealing with the US, it will have a ripple effect on the rest of the world. So invest wisely until it all blows over.
