Does anyone know, if the Hyundai Terracan is available in Doha? Any clue what the price is?
It comes with a diesel engine. Is diesel available at gas stations around Doha?
I have the resale value in the back of my mind when deciding on it! I will go for a used one anyway, and drive it to the very end! ;) I am not the guy who needs to buy a new car every 3 or 4 years.
There has not been any problem with ac. Although it is a single ac (unlike dual lac with some other 4 wheel drives) but still its performance is quite good.
As far as investment is concerned, you should not expect a fair return of this car at the time of selling since resale market here is not that good for hyundai (or for that matter korean and american cars.)
Thanks! Your helped me a lot! I am looking for cars right now, and the terracan is one possible investment. As i said I know the car and its performance in the dunes. You had any problems with the AC?
model is 2004. gone to sand a couple of times. performance was not too bad. I bought it 2nd hand baout 1 year back. I think new one costs around 75k. I think there are only petrol engines available in qatar.
Petrol engine here. You have such an extensive choice of SUVs here. Take a good look round and bear in mind resale values. Toyotas seem to be the best for that
I drove it during military in Somalia and it proved to be good on sandy tracks and off road. Can't share your experience! The Terracan only comes with a diesel engine as far as I know! Maybe they changed it for the non-european market!
Yes they available here.....known as the Tincan and are terrible cars. The company ownes a few and they are forever in the garage. Not seen any diesel. I guess you can buy it here but why ?

Oh...
and what was the price? If I may ask!
which model do you own? Where did you buy! Have you been driving it in the desert? Are you over all satisfied with it? Which engine do you have?
Man, loads of questions! Sorry!
I have a terracan. Done around 45k and still doing good.
An alternative for me is either a used pathfinder 2003 model, Mitsubishi Nativa or a used Grand Cherokee 2003 also. Problem is my budget! ;)
