If a person's family (sons) having international passport of Indian Origin expiring on 19th Jan-2014 can they travel to Qatar in Dec-2013 for 15 days getting back to India by 31st Dec-2013.What is the ruling of international travelling in such a case.can somebody clarify this issue.thanks and regards

For international travelling, pass-port validity should be six months.

Agree - the airline on which he is travelling will probably specify that his passport have at least 6 months' before expiring as will Qatar immigration.

As per my knowledge passport should be valid for 6 months.
