IT Guys ... Please help!
I have a Qtel MOZAIC tv package at home (I know, biggest mistake I made ... This is not the issue here, please keep on reading), and a Thomson Internet router for 1 Mb speed.
For the past few days now I've been getting disconnected on my iPad from the Internet network and the browser would show me a message saying:
Your DSL connection is down.
Verify if your Thomson Gateway is correctly connected to your DSL line. For more information consult your documentation.
Please close this window and try again.
I tried restarting my iPad, restarting my router, disconnecting the MOZAIC, and still happening!
I don't know if you guys experienced this yourselves but it's quite annoying and nothing would resolve it I feel.
Any suggestions please?!!
This is what i also mentioned.
Friends,Need to update the frameware of the Thomson ADSL Router for avoiding the connectivity problem. Please log a call into Qtel , they will update the frameware on free of cost. Also the updated frameware available with Thomson Website.
@Greg, I went on my laptop, and it happened as well, however, my wife's laptop, her iPhone, and my iPhone are working fine! weird ain't it !?
@ILS, thanks .. I tried that earlier, and the connection is already set to always on.

I faced this before.
Your router is up, but the Internet (DSL) service keeps going down. This appears to be a Qtel issue.
However, you can always have DSL connected again by going to your router's configuration page (you can do this by typing 192.168.1.254 in the address field on the browser and pressing Enter). Under the Broadband Connection settings, go to Internet Services and click on View more... under Internet, and then, click on Details at the top right of the page.
You should get to a page where it asks for a username and password (under PPP Settings). The username should be your 8-digit ground telephone number, the password should be the one that was given to you at the time of your ADSL router installation (this password is provided by Qtel and only Qtel can change it). If the password didn't work, try to use 123 as the password. Also, please make sure that the Connection Mode setting is set to Always-On.
I hope this helps.
@insomni, I tried, still not happening
@ bsabuktr, no I didn't, I feel they won't even know what I'm talking about! But I can give it a shot.
@ Gregorian, i was having that problem few months ago, then I renamed my network, and now I'm sure I am connected to the right one.
did you contact qtel? I was having this same issue with my laptop, getting disconnected frequently. Posted a complaint in qtel and they came and upgraded the software. Now the connection is fine.
Try resetting the router. Go to thomson gateway and reset the router. It might sort out.
