Lookin for classes to join
Good morning all
Im moving to Doha soon to join my husband, nervous about my move to new surroundings so want to keep myself busy aswell as getting to know the area.
Can anyone tell me where i could locate the following classes;
- Martial arts
- Horse riding
- Gym/pool/sauna
- Aerobic classes (such as belly dancing or salsa)
- Cookery classes - aimed at the local food
- Language class (classical Arabic)
- Learning more about the Quran
- Any womens groups that may meet up, are there any english/irish women groups?
Im located in the airport area and wanted to keep myself busy and really struggling to find suitable classes for women, particularly martial arts classes!!

Martial arts for women in Al sad they teach karate for women.In Al gharafa stadium they have Tae kwon do for women.You are a bit far, where you are though

Its been a bit of a nightmare to find someone who teaches women martials arts in Doha....i have called about 5 people about different types of martial arts, but they only have male classes.... grrrrr

I knew a place for learning Arabic Language or Quran ,you can go to Al Fanar near souq wakif
Aerobic Classes, Salsa dance in sheraton Hotel
Gym / Pool / Souna, Pool and Sauna, i used to go at Eardaz Hotel each time for 60qr
Cooking Course: I heard that it have thai food cooking classes in Grand Hyatt Hotel
hypermarket then pick up a copy of the Marhaba. It's like a Welcome to Qatar guide book. It literally lists hundreds of activities/classes/clubs/groups etc. that you can join and lists the contact numbers.

- Gym/pool/saunab Join any club or any hotel club.
- Aerobic classes (such as belly dancing or salsa)there is a group here on QL contact that group manager.
- Cookery classes - aimed at the local food hmm dont know
- Language class (classical Arabic) there are arabic learning centers i think in Bin Imran.
- Learning more about the Quran on Waab road you will find Shaikha Moza Quran learning center.
