TB patients, who have undergone treatment and got cured will still carry the scars on their lungs probably for the rest of their lives. This shows up in the Xray and is a cause of concern to many people.

Getting Residence Permit is a hard enough   process for many expats and then they are worried about making through the medical process.

1) If you are diagnosed with TB in your home country stay there and strictly follow the medication throughout its course. This is not easy but it has to be done. Get the doctor's certificate.

2) Keep the entire medical records with you.

3) Before going through the Xray, inform them. This will avoid them from panicking and creating a scene.

4) Your medical test will not end there.  They will refer you to Communicable diseases center at Rumaillah.

5) Go to Rumaillah and get a test date.

6) Your blood and sputum will be tested. A second test may be required on another date after which you will get the doctor's  appointment.

7) Meet the doctor with all medical records. They will keep a copy of your record and certify you fit for residence. Next,  you can go to Medical test center and you will pass the test.

8) In case, you don't have the medical records,  you may be required to take a course of anti TB medicines and then go through the testing and evaluation procedure.

The experience I shared is about a lady under husband's  sponsorship.  I am not sure about the procedures followed in the case of others.
