Mobil Phone Help

I just relocated from the UAE and picked up a Pre-Paid SIM card from QTEL to use in my Black Berry 8820 phone that I got in UAE when I was with Etilsalat. The phone won't work with the Pre-Paid QTEL card and I get a message that says "invalid Sim Card"
I have asked several QTEL personnel but get a blank stare and they are clueless. Do the QTEL Pre-Paid SIM Cards work with Black Berrys? In the meantime, I bought a cheap phone to use until I get this sorted out as I can't get a post paid account until the Residence Permit is sorted out. I also tried to find a store that sold Black Berrys at a few of the malls, but no one seems to sell them.

Go there and ask for the manager there he is a good gentleman he will help u directly and solve ur problem
Blackberry is a seperate service you need to avail from QTEL, its a post paid service and not available with prepaid. and remember the call cost in Blackberry service costs 10 dhirams more than of call from other service (prepaid and postpaid), strange but true... so choose blackberry if you feel necessary or if the company is covering it up for you...
To clarify, I'm just trying to get phone service working not emails.
