You can refer to the SCH guidelines for Nurses located at SCH website. Generally nurses with lack of experience or have break in practice SHALL undergo 6 months training in healthcare institutions here in Qatar as required by Supreme Council of Health Qatar...

But how big of a gap after two years is considered as "break".? Once my wife moves to Qatar, it could take a few months or even longer to find a job. SO, that becomes a "break". Therefore want to know how many months of not working might be considered a break.

Thank you joice. I noticed that some job postings from HMC ask for 6 months or preferably 1 year of work experience after BSc graduation. Your comments please.

If taking a leave of absence for a month or so, is that a big deal? However, continuing to work for the same employer. Your response is very much appreciated.

2 years continuous work experience as a Nurse after Bachelor or Diploma graduation required to apply for nursing license in Qatar. Applicants with Break from Practice or lack of experience can apply for training but family residency is required as per SCH.

Ah .......... Medical line is the complicated when it comes to recruitment ......... anyhow it's same for all the candidates but it needs a huge rework on recruitment ........... why can't we trust a candidate with a valid education diploma / degree and a genuine exp certificate ??? ......... People at high places need to look into it & stop harassment of their own potential workforce ............ your futur employees are getting exhausted while applying for the vacancy .......... do you expect them to be working after they faint & fall on a Doha street ....................... ............. ??? ................. Changes & improment are two words only to give lond awaited relief to medical staff ....... there health is more important so that they can lok after the patients ........... it is very simple .................. ........ why should we wait to see them collapse at our door steps ............. ??
