Dear All QL Readers,
I need advice from you on below matter.
I am working with Qatar based private organization from last 7.5+ years with one of the contracting company. Now recently got opportunity with consulting firm based in Qatar.
1. What should I do, to convince and give me NOC & transfer visa?
2. Recently heard our organization making new contracts with 5 years contract term. Should I sign this?
3. When the Labour Law for non-requirement of NOC will going to place?
Your response and advice on this matter will be appreciated.

Well malaylja, When the non-requirement of NOC rule is going to come?

Asking Counter-offer also not satisfy/equal my offer as the offer is double than the present salary.

I am a business owner in qatar. Main problem in giving NOC, it creates a wrong precedence. Generally established companies will not give NOC or release. Ask for better package in the same company.

Thanks to all for you response.

Accepted - the grass is not always greener, but if we didnt try then we will stick in one organization which is not good even as I completed 7.5+ years here.

Where U am moving is our client company, is that make any effect to them?

Even I am good with the management, but not sure about our Managing directors decision.

Lets hope for the best.

Thanks all once again.

Be sure of your next step. Asking your management for an NOC will give them the indication you want to leave their company. They may not like it. It could prove to be a bad move on your part. If you do not have any issues with your present company except the salary, then I suggest you continue. On the other hand, if you are in very good terms with the management and are sure they will give you the NOC, you may take the step forward. Britexpat has very rightly pointed out "The grass is not always greener (on the other side.)"

The grass is not always greener. If you are confident that you will get an NOC, then ask. Otherwise stay where you are
