[before reading Note i tend to abbreviate alot hope you understand]

Ok guys i need some advice/help bout this 2 topics ... im going to my 3rd year in college now and i have to choose between networking or oracle ... i like both but they seem to have alot of advantages and disadvantages .. so here goes my questions

1) Demands = which gets a job faster
2) Needs = How many certificates or exams do i need to be a fully certified person
3) Which is less stressful .... [ i hate getting into stress makes me nervous]

Maybe you guys have more to add id like to hear your advice . those working in both fields tell me your experience and what certificates u had to get a job .. and what u would advice/ would be better to go for ...

Thanks to those who would respond

Go for ORACLE as it is highly wanted nw a days.Again it is upto you to choose either DB develpment or DB adminstration as both are really good,

At the end it all depends what you want and what you feel comfy with!

Both indeed have good scopes.. But prepare to be in stress for long hours...  As Ammad says Oracle is also a very good choice...

So you have only two choices? What about not choosing Oracle and Networking.Oracle is very vast in which sector you are planning to join (Database or Development)?Oracle now itself is moving toward java technology. Infact the new version of customized application is coming on JDeveloper and ADF.If i would be you. I would choose Java and ADF. Networking also good. But now the next generation will be for java development and you can stay with this technology long time.Just my 2 cents :) Regards,

in networking if u need a fairly good job with good salary, CCIE is wht u should aim for.Oracle is neither a cheese cake..... so about the stress i dont wanna tell u, coz  if u are not sure u could handle the stress,  i suggest u do carpantry....

LOLyou need a coin not dice. For dice you need to choose between 6 options. With tossing a coin you can decide one of the two options.Good luck with whatever choice you go for..Both are good.Personally If I was you, I would go for Oracle!

It's quite interesting how people here choose what they are going to study. Why don't you throw dice?
