Please save yourselves stress, money, time, and aggravation and do not buy cellphones Al Rawabi supermarket, specifically the one at Umm Salal. I bought  a phone from them in May 2017, the phone developed a fault about 6 months later in December. I took it back to them for repair since it was still under warranty. I was told to come after two weeks to get it. On getting there 15 days later, I was asked to give them a few more days to repair it. They also wanted me to provide the IMEI no which I couldn't ,'cause I'd thrown the phone's packaging away.

Long story short, I went back a few days later, and the story was still the same; the phone hadn't been repaired and they wanted me to give them more time to repair it. I demanded they give me a new phone, 'cause Qatar's consumer regulations say they were obliged to give me a new phone if the old one couldn't be repaired within 14 days. They refused and we went back and forth, until I agreed to give them more time to repair my phone as I did not want to lose the data on the phone.

25 days after I had first handed in the phone for repair, I went back to get my phone , and Al Rawabi employees attempted to give me a used phone that was not mine! The phone did not look like my phoneb but more shockingly, all my data had been wiped out! I brought all these to their attention and once again demanded they give me a new phone since there was no use taking this phone since my data had been wiped clean. They refused and proceeded to waste my time.

I referred the matter to the ministry of Economy and Commerce, but they were of no help for the most part and after a while, seemed to be defending Al Rawabi, which emboldened them.

Since, there was no use taking a used phone that was not even mine and did not have my data, I decided to leave the phone  with Al Rawabi.

So, please, save yourselves grief and loss of data and don't buy cellphones at Al Rawabi, Umm Salal.
