Today, I just sharing what was happened to my friends:
nO Exit Permit, NOC, Salary cut, Late salary, not release home.
OMG, OMG!! Almost every day I heard ppl crying and complaining about the GREAT power of employer. You open your mouth regarding bad employer, you report to authorities, you will get bigger trouble! employer will punish you with all above: NO NOC, NO EXIT, NO SALARY, NO RELEASE HOME!..SALARY CUT, YOU ARE FIRED! No release, of course no job!
The employer seems SO untouchable in Doha, employees went astray. Employees suffered..employer hooray! hooray!

More worst if you work with company ran their own rules! no standard HR, no Office Administration,. Owner/Manager became Dictator, JUNGLE law and run their own rule cutting the salary..OMG..OMG!!

Where to report, which ministry, are the complainer get entertain and received proper response. Any Hotline number?
If we report, DOES authorities response with the complaint & carry out enforcement to employer compliance!?

Change is coming but it is slow, most of the employers also sit on the decision making committees here so its not in their interest to change the current system.

..and comments. Appreciate it.

But, who go checking those bad employers...Didn't they tarnish the image of Qatar as whole. Qatar had the standards and systems in place even some need for review. Why bad employers was not follow? In my opinion, the reason is because there are lack and no enforcement take place. So, they became complacent and dictator! employees been neglected and put in slavery and depression, some suicidal. Exit permit for example, employee depressed, some no salary pay and at the same time been denied to return home! OMG..

Who do the enforcement and penalty..or wait until another 'disaster' happened. Peace!

iexplore, that is the problem he cannot remove himself from the situation as his employer is denying him freedom of movement through the slavery, sorry exit permit system.

Complaints can be filed at the National Commission on Human Rights Committee (NHRC). Visit their website at www.nhrc-qa.org or go directly to their office located at Fareej Bin Abdulaziz, Otabi Tower opposite Petrol Station.

hays, what to do. there are just things out of our control. either we change the situation, or accept the situation. if you we cant, we need to remove ourself from that situation. these are viable options when you are stuck in a bad employer. but if you're desperately needing for a job, the only option is to accept it! what to do yani!

shhhhhhhhhh...there is nothing wrong here...everyone is so good here...all rules, regulations, care of human being etc etc is the best... you seem to have just got up from a bad dream and BTW does it not happen elsewhere in the world..why are you complaining and feeling surprised...go back to sleep....everything is bright out there and everything is alright and if not it is not that it happens here only!!!

Unfortunatley you cannot blame the employer for this one you have to look at who put this rules in place such as needing an exit permit. They allowed this type of behaivor to flourish leaving ordinary people trapped.

Just go to nearest police station and the will arrange your exit....every company has a local sponcer so no one can scrow you up...... Forget about labor dept since the only thing can do for you is to file a case against your employer and actually you have to do it in person.....and in best cases it will take around 7 months.......if you decided to leave the country for good, go to the nearest police station ask them that you need to leave the country for good and your cosigne is not paying your salary....they will arrange it for you
