Regarding a Temporary Driving License

Hi guys,

This is with regard to a Temporary License. I do not seem to get a clear information at all (even after visiting the Traffic Headquarters). I just arrived in Qatar about a week ago on a Business Visa and want to apply for a temporary license. I have a valid driving license of Saudi Arabia. I understand according to the website that it can be done but the version the traffic department has is totally different. They say it is not allowed. Can anyone help me on this? As I really need one to move around the place. Thanks in Advance,

We have similar rules here, a permit does not provide the skill to the license holders ................ there are a few people who drive from their heart , with their self discipline they can be model to the others around them .........

Temporary licenses are only for a few countries .. Perhaps Saudi does not meet the criteria
