Hello All,

I worked in Qatar for a firm for 8 years till May 2016.Due to financial issues the company didn't pay my last two months of salaries and my end of service benefits. They promised me that they will do it in the next couple of months .I too left the country hoping they will settle my dues. But so far, they haven't paid and giving me false promises every month. What is the best way to recover my dues now?I have all my correspondence documented till date  regarding this follow up.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Brity,I concur with you.The sponsor is a very good person and he is not aware of all these. Its only the management people as u said from the same country to where i belong is creating these problems.

Brity,

The problem is, Most of the problem makers will be from the same national or neighboring countries. These are the people create issues to innocent staff's or employee.

Many time we discuss here and put fault on sponsor. But in my opinion, these case's are mostly created by our own unprofessional colleagues.

This is my personal opinion.

Thank you all once again for your comments. The total due comes to 43K which is a big money for me.Never expected they will do this and i am still hopeful they will settle this.On the other hand,I have to slowly try to forget this too as you all mentioned.

Have a nice days ahead !

Best Regards

mohammed: I get so angry when I read such stories, because these things still go on and companies and executives get away with abusing their workers.

Dear Brother Mohamed,

May Allah bless you. Money will come and go. But developing good qualities and believing Allah is what more important than anything else.

So far I have forgo around 40,000 QR during two sponsor changes.

The people worked with me know who I am. And I know who I am.

I have no complain about it, as I practically feel money will not lead anywhere.

My only concern is, people who purposefully engage this kind of activity. What will be their position in the real judgement day.

I ask Dua, please forgive them as well.

Thank you and have a good day to everyone.

Its a long shot, but I suggest contacting the Qatar Embassy in your home country and asking for advice.

You could also write to the Labour Court and Human Rights Commission enclosing copies of the correspondence with the company.

You never know, the Lord may smile on you and someone in authority may decide to help.

Dear Mohamed,

May allah bless you and your family. Please forget this case and start your new life.

Please kindly make a letter in Arabic to the sponsor directly. Briefly mention that what has happened to you. Don't accuse any one. Just mention the company is due this payment for you.

The reason I recommend you to write this letter to the sponsor, as He should aware of this.

In Sha Allah - You will get a better job in the future.

I doubt they will ever pay you your dues. Had you been in Qatar, you could have taken the company to the Labour Court and they would have helped you out in getting your dues. But now it is almost a dead case. Possibly, you may get assistance from some lawyer here if you contact them, but that will be a costly affair. Suggest you forget the cash and look forward in life.
